You could use this service if you are a dial-up/ ADSL customer.

What If I’m not an Internet Subscriber?
Simply sign up for your Post-paid Wifi at the nearest Omantel counter.  Choose “Provide Wireless Internet Access” in the Internet Application form when signing up for the Internet service, and enjoy all the benefits of surfing the Internet.

If you are not an Internet Subscriber, You can still use the service by purchasing IBHAR pre-paid card sold at the Wireless locations [Hotspot]

I’m an Internet Subscriber, so how can I use it?
To start using WIFI, you should activate your account through the following options:

  Option1: visiting any of Omantel Counters in Muscat and ask the Customer Service Representative to activate WIFI for you.

  Option 2: Sending an e-mail to IBHAR@omantel.net.om requesting for the service.

  Option 3: Through Accessing My Account in Omantel Web Site. Go to www.omantel.net.om, click on my account, enter your username and pin code and then click on “Activating WiFi” and enjoy the service.

If you are a Residential customer you should attach a copy of your ID and your Contract number.

If you are a corporate customer, you should attach a company’s letter with a company’s stamp + Copy of ID + Contract number.

How much does it cost?
It’s 16.6 Bz/ Minute.

Can I use the same username and password at all IBHAR Hotspots?
Only RO. 15 IBHAR prepaid card can be used at all IBHAR Hotspots. RO. 3 and RO. 5 IBHAR prepaid cards cannot be used at IBHAR Hotspots in Hotels.
